Wow, what a whirlwind day we have had. we have figured out the underground with out any major complications. (just have to remember whether we are heading northbound, eastbound etc.) It was so neat watching the girls reaction when i pointed out the top of the London eye as we stood in the lobby of the Waterloo Station. They were just speechless for a few moments, trust me only a few, then the questions started to fly are we doing this, are we doing that, can we go to the London Eye now? Can we go see this and that?? Well we made it down to the London Eye and did a ton of pictures, then on to the waterfront proper to take pictures of Big Ben, Parliment and Westminster Abbey. We walked across Westminster bridge and took many photos with Big Ben and then we headed off just to explore the streets of London (trying to find a place to eat everyone could agree on :) ) We walked up to Trafalgar square and headed past the circle and found a great Italian spaghetti shop. The food was fabulous authentic Italian. The sauces etc were just amazing. With full bellies, that was about all we could take. We walked (slowly) back to the Charing Cross station for the underground and then transferred back to good old Piccadilly Line to come back to the rooms. I cant believe the girls still hvae this much energy that they want to stay up and play on FB and enter their blogs. I am ready to go to bed. . . after a hot shower that is!
Tomorrow is another day, a very busy day. we will be heading out of the hotel around 8:30-9:00 so e can make it down for the changing of the guards. We will update everyone with more as we can. Sleep tight USA, it is 9:45 here (only 4:45 for everyone back in Georgia) We have been up most the night and looking forward to sleep Talk to everyone later :)
Where are you staying? Did the GG World Center work out? Will you ride the eye? Just asking. Thinking of you having a great time! JC
